925 sterling silver or bronze pendant, in the shape of a round medal with a poppy in the center, in high relief, while three poppy seed capsules, with their stems and leaves, in a lower relief that rises from the base, surround the flower.
The capsules are made from real red poppy capsules (Papaver Rhoeas) grown by us at home. The rest of the piece is molded and hand-carved by me.
It has a finish that combines the matte base with shiny at the plant motifs. The composition is inspired by the Art Nouveau style and the finish in two different textures gives it an antique look, which is what I was looking for in this case.
The pendant measures about 2.8 cm in diameter, 3.5 cm high if we count the bail.
You can get just the pendant or the pendant with a 50cm black leather or rubber cord and silver clasp for the bronze version, also the pendant with a 925 silver chain for the silver version. The price varies according to the option.
The pendants are hand carved by me and cast in metal using the lost wax process. All the finishes and patinas are also applied by hand, piece by piece. They are made to order.
I wanted to dedicate this piece to the poppy, one of my favorite flowers and with which I have a very special relationship.
